*New Weave for an even smoother ride* The 8.5 Canyon Egress Super-Static Rope has an UHMPE/ Polypropylene Core. This makes it super-static and lighter. It is made rugged enough for whatever you might throw its way. The sheath is made from a Premium mix of Polyester and Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) yarns to give you top of the line strength and a smooth descent.

*WARNING!!! Do not use with Titanium devices due to low heat dissipation. All Polyester, Polypropylene and Polyethelene fibers may glaze at higher temperatures

Tech Specs:

Egress is a great rope!

I've had a couple of canyons now on the Egress and really like it! Works well with my Sterling ATS device, smooth descents, packs well. So far I've had about 20 rappels on it in southern Utah and still looks amazing. I'd recommend this rope.

Best all-around rope on the market

The Egress has got to be the best all around rope on the market. It hits every major checkbox: lightweight, supple, price on point, and high-tech fiber construction. GB is on the forefront with this type of rope fiber technology in the states. The problem with thinner, high tech ropes is that they tend to not be very beginner friendly and wear out fast with newer users. The Egress has the durability of 9+mm rope and one you wouldn't mind brand new folks rapping on.

Thank you Ryan! I appreciate you and your support. I am glad the Egress is serving you well. Stay safe out there.

Wow! Amazing rope!

Great weight, great look and great ride! Amazing rope and durable in the SW!

Thank you Dustin! Please let me know how it does long term.

Best Value

As mentioned, I too have had different models of the egress. The new weave rides so much smoother! Best bang for your buck! Highly recommend.

Thank you! Your feedback has helped us improve and strife to be better.

Excellent Rope, suitable for use with moderate-to-high-friction devices

Bought this in 70m flavor to replace two previous 200 foot ropes (a Canyon Fire and a Bluewater Canyon DS).

First thing to note - the owner and proprietor is heavily involved in the community and took time to listen to feedback and help me place an order. So +1 there.

Second, this rope works pretty well with small-eye devices like Sterling ATS, Critr, others. It is not (and this is the downside of supple ropes) a good rope for bigger devices like a Pirana - it's very fast.

Would recommend.

Thanks RC! I appreciate your feedback. I try to listen!

Great static canyon rope, with amazing price point.

This was the first rope I had tried from Glacier Black many years ago. This rope has been updated several times, each time increasing its performance characteristics. I have recommended this rope to many fellow canyoneers from Southwest to Pacific northwest canyoneers. My rope has 46 canyons on it, and still has many many for to go. Great overall bargain rope for any canyoneering discipline.

Thank you Tim! Your comments are very appreciated. You keep strong and be safe out there!
