The 8.5 Canyon Egress Super-Static Rope has an UHMPE/ Polypropylene Core. This makes it super-static and lighter. It is made rugged enough for whatever you might throw its way. The sheath is made from a Premium mix of Polyester and Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) yarns to give you top of the line strength and a smooth descent.
*WARNING!!! Do not use with Titanium devices due to low heat dissipation. UHMPE has a low melting point but it also has a very low friction coefficient. The Vectran will help with heat dissapation. Be mindful of stopping at one point on long 250'plus rappels. All Polyester, Polypropylene and Polyethelene fibers may glaze at higher temperatures
